The SKM is designed for monitoring cooling circuits, high-pressure washing circuits, pump safety, etc.
It can measure water, oils or other liquids flowrate independently from the alignment of the device.

An orifice plate equipped with a magnet (piston with magnet) is subjected to the pressure of the fluid to be monitored within a cylindrical tube. A compensated spring balances the movement of the piston and allows operation in any mounting position. The piston is visible through a graduated glass tube. A bistable reed switch, normally open when there is no flow, is mounted on an external sliding rail and is actuated by the passing of the magnetic piston.

- The top edge of the float serves as the reading reference point.
- The scale is graduated in l/min of water (20°C)
- The switch setting can be adjusted throughout the entire measuring range thanks to the sliding guide.
- The actual flow rate may exceed the calibrated range without damaging the device, though it will result in higher pressure loss.

These devices must be installed on fluids free of suspended particles and away from any magnetic induction sources.
